Designed by Pininfarina, Alfa Romeo Dardo is a spider (convertible) that is based on the Alfa Romeo 156. The name Dardo is the Italian word for Dart and was created to celebrate the long established relation between Alfa Romeo and Pininfarina and was unveiled at the 1998 Turin Motor Show. The Dardo is powered by a 2.5 liter V6 Engine and a manual gearbox.
The Dardo utilizes the 156’s dashboard which was refurbished with leather upholstery. The two-seater ‘Barchetta’ body and the dart shaped bonnet gave it a classy yet sporty design aesthetic. The headlights of the car were designed specially in collaboration with the French component maker Valeo S.A. The seats used in Dardo are made of carbon-Kevlar compound and feature 4-point seat belt.
